Family Preservation Court

Collaborative Courts

Family Preservation Court is a voluntary court program for families with an open dependency case and for non-minor dependents involved in Child Welfare. Family Preservation Court preserves and reunifies families by addressing the root causes of system involvement. Family Preservation Court increases access to treatment and services related to substance use, mental health, parent-child relationships, traumatic brain injury, and trauma. To be eligible for Family Preservation Court, a person must have an open dependency case or be a non-minor dependent, struggle with substance use disorder, and be amenable to participate in Family Preservation Court.
